Individual Therapy
Personalised therapy to help you heal, grow, and find clarity
Evidence-Based Care
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Individual therapy is designed to support you through anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life challenges. We also offer services for victims of crime and those accessing the Redress Scheme, providing a safe and supportive space to process your experiences. With evidence-based approaches like DBT, CBT, and Schema Therapy, we’ll work together to find tools that help you heal and move forward.
Accessible Services That Work for You
Our services are accessible and flexible: sessions can be claimed through Medicare rebates with a GP referral under a Mental Health Care Plan. Additionally, many private health insurers in NSW cover counselling and social work services, including providers such as Medibank, Bupa, and Teachers Health.*

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
We offer flexible, one-on-one therapy that meets you where you’re most comfortable—whether that’s in person, via telehealth, or even outside the traditional therapy space.
At Althea Collective, we understand that every individual’s story is unique. Our sessions are designed to fit you—your life, your challenges, and your goals. As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), Bethanie bring a deeper, holistic understanding of mental health, combining clinical expertise with a person-centred approach.
We don’t just focus on symptoms; we work with you to uncover the root causes, build practical tools, and create a path forward that feels right for you. Whether it’s navigating complex emotions, managing life transitions, or addressing long-standing patterns, our flexible, compassionate approach prioritises what matters most—your growth, healing, and well-being.
We integrate proven, evidence-based therapies with a focus on understanding the brain, relationships, and patterns that shape your experiences. Our approaches include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Practical strategies to manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships.
Schema Therapy: Uncovering and addressing deep-rooted patterns for meaningful, lasting change.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Strengthening emotional bonds and fostering secure connections.
Gottman Method Therapy: Tools and strategies to improve communication, trust, and intimacy in relationships.
Family Systems Therapy: Understanding family dynamics and improving relationships within the family unit.
Attachment Theory Foundations: Exploring early relationships to heal attachment wounds and build healthier connections.
We also incorporate brain-based strategies grounded in neuroscience to help you understand how the brain responds to trauma, ADHD, and emotional challenges. These practical skills empower you to regulate emotions, manage stress, and take steps forward with clarity and confidence.
